However where you lost me a little bit is when you used the car seat verse holding your baby while you drive. I have serious trouble accepting when these examples are used to justify vaccinating verse not. Seeing as they are two incomparable events. By putting your child in a car seat that child has no possible side effect. So it is one sided and a no brainer. Aside from your example I enjoyed the article. I have two unvaccinated kids (7yr and 5yr). I struggled to find a quality pediatrician that would except my decision to hold off on vaccinations. I believe vaccines are great and are needed for some. I believe as a population we have become over vaccinated and over used antibiotics to a point where we are doing harm now to ourselves. So my way to balance my due responsibility to society and my job as a mother to care for my children. I decided to hold off on vaccinations until after their neurological development has peaked (around age 5). After a long time of grappling with my decision, I came to this conclusion based upon my belief in the immune system and my ability as a responsible mother to keep my kids system strong. I also took into account the environment I raise them in. I am fully aware that vaccine injury is unproven but I am also aware that neuroscience still knows so little how about the development of a newborns brain into indolence. I would be naive or ignorant even to accept that injecting foreign substances into my children every two months would not effect that neurological development. Thank you for the wonderful article (although you got pretty aggressive in the middle there, not that I'm the touchy feely type, just a humble mothers opinion.)

Jaime
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
